Vimeno’s remarkable journey as a single mother unfolded with her decision to join the Self-Help Group (SHG), where she not only received crucial financial assistance but also gained valuable technical knowledge. Her trajectory took a transformative turn with her association with the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), leading her to secure a loan of Rs. 60,000 to establish her own animal feed shop. This entrepreneurial endeavor not only boosted her confidence but also honed her skills as an astute business woman.
Expanding her ventures, Vimeno ventured into rearing ducks and pigs, contributing to her monthly income. Not only did she sell these animals in her native village, but she also played a pivotal role in the local agricultural ecosystem by supplying ducklings to other farmers. Vimeno’s success story is a testament to the empowerment facilitated by SHGs and NRLM, as she now enjoys a monthly income of Rs. 30,000, showcasing the tangible results of her determination and entrepreneurial spirit.
