Smt. Chandana Tripura, a dedicated member of Lama Katal Self Help Group, has leveraged her entrepreneurial spirit and various financial aids to establish a multifaceted business venture. After joining the Self Help Group, Chandana pursued her aspiration to start her own business, overcoming initial hurdles of funding and expertise by securing a Seed Capital of Rs. 40,000 under the PMFME Scheme and a Mudra Loan of Rs. 50,000. These funds enabled her to set up a spice-making unit called SRESTHA Spices, producing cumin, coriander, and turmeric powders. Additionally, as a Matsya Sakhi, she applies her training in scientific fishery processes to manage two ponds for cultivating fingerlings and fish. Chandana also expanded into piggery, starting with two piglets and a small pigsty, illustrating her diverse entrepreneurial activities and significant contribution to her community’s economic development. This ventures now bring in a monthly income of around INR 12,000, significantly improving her family’s life.
