Maheshwari Singh is a resident of District- Surguja, Block- Lakhanpaur, Village-Taparkela. She is living with her husband and two children. Maheshwari Didi is a member of Pragati Mahila Self-Help Group of Pooja Aajeevika Gram Sangathan Turna of Savera Sankul Organization formed under Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission.
Before joining Bihan Group, Maheshwari Didi was a marginal farmer and could harvest only one crop in a year, due to which her income was not sufficient for the survival of her family.
After joining Bihan Group, he received training in advanced and scientific techniques of “vegetable farming”. She could easily get loan from Bihan Group, due to which She is now able to take 3 crops in a year and the annual income is ranging from Rs. 2,00,000 to Rs. 5,00,000
She has created a story of women empowerment and success by becoming a successful entrepreneur in her field.
