Seema Devi belongs to Varanasi District of Uttar Pradesh. The name of her Self Help Group is Sheetla Mata Self Help Group. Before joining the Self Help Group, Seema Devi and her husband used to work as labor and sell vegetables from the small piece of land that they had. After she became a member of Self Help Group, she undertook training of making “Dona Pattal” from RSETI. She took a loan and established her small enterprise. Slowly her business started to grow and she took additional loan from bank and Mudra loan to expand her enterprise, She purchased 5 machines for leaf cup making and one machine for leaf plate making.
Today she proudly owns 5 machines and gives employment to 10 other Self Help Group women. Her annual income has crossed Rs. 7 lakh through her dona pattal enterprise.
